The Daylesford Dharma School would like to express its gratitude for the generous support we have received from our many supporters and the families of our students. Heart felt thanks is extended to our volunteers, school sponsors, and funding bodies.

Volunteers

In 2010, we had more than 40 individuals and families volunteering their time each week averaging a total of 190 hours per week. In financial terms, this equates to more than $100,000 of in-kind support per year.

We acknowledge the generous and wise advice of Dick Jeffrey who passed away in 2008. A teacher, educator and champion of Essential Education from India to Australia who founded the Maitreya School in Bodhgaya India. Dick is the author of the framework of the Awareness programme that lives on as a daily practice for the children at the Dharma School and the Maitreya School. We continue the vision.

"The main theme of Buddhism is altruism based on compassion and love. The feeling of compassion is important whether you are a believer or a non-believer, for everyone shares or feels the value of love."
