ENROLMENT POLICY

Purpose of policy:

  • To ensure an even distribution of numbers across the student cohort.
  • To provide places for siblings of enrolled children and the children of our school staff.
  • To provide access to children from families practicing Buddhism.
  • To ensure that families have access to our enrolment procedure prior to applying for enrolment.

Guidelines:
Prior to enrolling it is preferable that parents will have:

  • Familiarity with the school’s philosophy, mission statement, curriculum and awareness programme.
  • Have attended either a parent information session or an open day.

After making an enrolment application and paying the required fee, parents will:

  • Attend an interview with the school Principal and Director.
  • Communicate any special needs that their child has and meet with the Special Needs Officer to discuss this.
  • Organise for their child to attend the required transition days prior to having their enrolment accepted.

Prep Enrolments
Enrolment applications will be accepted according to the policy guidelines. Parents of preps are encouraged to:

  • Complete a pre-enrolment form to ensure equity of selection and balance of class compositions.
  • Make full use of the information and familiarisation sessions available to inform their decision making.
  • Complete an enrolment application when consideration has been given.
  • Attend an interview with the Principal and Director to discuss their child’s needs.
  • Attend the prep transition days in December which provide for the child to build familiarity and enthusiasm for their forth-coming school year.
